On this week’s Pickin, it’s a return to Classic Country, featuring the tragic year 1963. That year, five Grand Ole Opry Stars tragically died including Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copas, and Patsy Cline in a plane crash on March 5. We’ll hear selections from each of these country legends. Also featured is the duo Johnny and Jack, Texas Ruby, Loretta Lynn, the Wilburn Brothers, and plenty of others who helped to define the genre of classic country music in 1963.
