Paul Shugrue
Host, Out of the BoxPaul Shugrue has been a Virginia radio personality his entire career, working his way up from his "humble" beginnings at the Virginia Tech student station, WUVT in Blacksburg, through Charlottesville, Richmond and finally Hampton Roads. He has been married over thirty five years to his college sweetheart, a Norfolk native and they have two twenty-something boys.
Paul was Program Director and afternoon host of the now defunct adult rock station "The Coast", which pioneered the commercial "AAA" (Adult Album Alternative) format in Hampton Roads. With it's demise, WHRV becomes the only source for intelligent, adult oriented album rock in Hampton Roads.
