The lines at gas stations in Hampton Roads are dying down after the Colonial Pipeline resumed service on Wednesday.

Recent measures allow some workers to easily claim worker's compensation benefits if infected with COVID-19 at work. But those changes leave out thousands of other low-paid frontline workers.

The bipartisan provision was added to a larger criminal justice bill in the state Senate.

The program includes $16 billion for qualifying live music venues, event promoters, independent theaters and museums.
