A hearing was scheduled for a lawsuit against the company from the family of Randy Blevins.

Blevins was a night stocker who worked for Walmart for nearly 30 years.

Blevins and five others were killed last November when a shift supervisor opened fire in the employee break room of the Chesapeake Walmart where they worked.

The family is seeking $45 million in damages from Walmart and the shooter’s estate.

The parties filed an order to drop the lawsuit just before Wednesday’s hearing… indicating a settlement is being worked out behind the scenes.

Three other former Walmart employees who were injured in the shooting have also filed suit against the company.

Those cases are still pending.
