Students from 92 teams gathered at Old Dominion University recently to compete in the Great Computer Challenge. Organized in part by WHRO, this annual competition equips students to tackle real-world technological assignments.

Parents, grandparents and children laughed and learned together as they explored coding and created animated stories recently at a local elementary school.

Congratulations to eighth-grader Victoria Vidal who won the 12th annual Virginian-Pilot Spelling Bee.
