The Great Computer Challenge is a competition where students from schools across the region gather to demonstrate their skills in various computer applications and programming. Details about the GCC can be found at education.whro.org/gcc.

Here are your volunteering options for March 7, 2020 (grades 6-12):

Registration 7:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
Help teacher sponsors check in, pick up t-shirts and materials for their teams.

Early Monitor 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
During the setup and rules review, monitor different areas of the building

Monitors 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Oversee the competition in each of the rooms. Pass out problems to the teams and announce beginning and ending times. Judges will be around for specific questions the students might have.

Runners 9:15a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Check on each competition room and run to get materials or find answers to questions the teams might have.

2nd Round of Monitors 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
During the judging and awards ceremony, monitor different areas of the building. Bring a good book to read.

The place where we need the most help is monitors, but let us know what your time frame is and we'll fit you in where appropriate.
