WHRO Education's online World Geography course was recently QM Certified. This designation from Quality Matters, means learners and parents can be confident that the quality of this course meets nationally and internationally recognized standards. To obtain certification, courses are evaluated through a rigorous review process. Principles that courses are graded on include: instruction based on research, methods of student learning and quality of instruction. The QM Certified designation means the course has been certified to be of the highest educational quality for students. 

The World Geography course puts students in the role of intern for a cutting-edge digital media company called GEOTREX, and allows them to explore content aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning in fun and exciting ways. The course includes the study of major physical features and the unique cultural characteristics of each region in order to better understand the relationship between people and their environment.
