Norfolk's Slover Library and WHRO partnered for a birthday party in honor of Sesame Street. The program began airing on public television on November 10, 1969. To commemorate its 50th anniversary, we've enjoyed a year-long celebration full of community events, fun initiativesand digital campaigns.

More than 100 people turned out for the birthday party to enjoy snacks, crafts, activities and fun! Families especially enjoyed photos with backdrops featuring children's favorite characters and the opportunity to make masks, visors, puppets and more.
