WHRO Public Media partnered with the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) on the latest video in the GreenBeats series. GreenBeats is a series of animated shorts that focus on critical environmental issues and themes.

The newest video in the collection - "Foam Free" - examines the harmful environmental impacts of polystyrene. The video was created in support of AskHRgreen.org's environmental stewardship campaigns. AskHRgreen.org is a public awareness program of the HRPDC, which encourages environmental stewardship among all residents in the 17 cities and counties in southeastern Virginia.

In "Foam Free," viewers learn of the harmful effects that polystyrene can have on the environment, and the video teaches eco-friendly alternatives to polystyrene along with other waste-reduction behaviors.
