Last week, WHRO’s Children Services team facilitated a Ready Jet Go! Space Exploration Mini-Camp at the main branch of the Hampton Public Library. Children ages 7-10 spent two sessions as space scouts. Campers used teamwork to develop their science and engineering skills. They spent time having lots of fun and at the end of the sessions, they earned their space scouts’ badges!
What is Ready Jet Go!?
Ready Jet Go! is a PBS Kids animated media property designed to help kids learn about space, Earth science and technology. The show follows an alien boy named Jet Propulsion who shares children’s natural sense of wonder and curiosity about space, going on adventures with his friends to explore and learn more about space and planet Earth. The series airs on PBS Kids on local PBS stations and through the free PBS Kids video app. Videos, online games and more can be found online at pbskids.org/readyjetgo.
