The best just got better. eMediaVA is Virginia's premier educational statewide digital media distribution system. With the release of version 3.0 on September 1, students and teachers throughout Virginia will now find it even easier to search the thousands of available learning resources and locate videos, lesson plans, documents, and graphics that are correlated to Virginia’s Standards of Learning. Version 3.0 features a cleaner user interface that puts Virginia educators in touch with award winning content from contributors such as PBS, NPR and public media organizations across the United States, the Smithsonian Museums, NASA, and Colonial Williamsburg.

As a collaboration between WHRO and the Virginia Department of Education, eMediaVA is free to Virginia students and teachers. eMediaVA is full of useful resources, with tools for teachers and students to stream and download media; upload personal creations; create assignments, quizzes and new learning objects; store favorites and playlists; conduct Internet searches by SOL correlation; share ratings and much, much more. While an account is necessary to utilize all of eMediaVA’s features, the public can search for and view most of the available learning resources at emediava.org.
