Hampton Roads children have a new role model when it comes to helping clean up the environment, Scoop Dog Sam. Since the character's first appearance in a video series promoting environmental stewardship in a way children can relate to, Scoop Dog Sam continues to encourage children to find ways they can help protect the environment.

How can kids help? His advice is simple:

• Clean up after your pet.
• Dispose of pet droppings properly by depositing in the trash (not composting or using as fertilizer in the garden).
• Share this message with your friends.

We can all do our part to help protect the planet.
