The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) was awarded a grant by the Verizon Foundation to help educate students and teachers about integrating computer coding into the classroom. WHRO has been chosen to receive funds from that grant to pilot this training.

The future can be a scary thing, but when students are in a safe, encouraging environment and are able to explore the possibilities through a competition like the Great Computer Challenge, it can be invigorating.

Veterans Coming Home

Veterans Coming Home explores "what works" for veterans as they return to civilian life sharing both the challenges and success stories of veterans who are making a difference in the workplace, on campus, and in their communities.

Wall of Faces

There are 1,307 names of Virginian Vietnam veterans listed on The Wall. WHRO is proud to spearhead a state-wide initiative and engage partners and community individuals to ensure every Virginian listed has a photo. Find out more
