Students in Northampton Country Public Schools will enjoy new learning activities thanks to an anonymous donation from a local Eastern Shore organization. WHRO Public Media connected the organization with the school system, and the community organization recently purchased and donated $25,000 of educational equipment to the schools.

WHRO was proud to be able to deliver this equipment earlier this month. The donation included a Viewsonic board and several document cameras that Superintendent of Northampton Country Public Schools Dr. Lisa Martin said would help “bring the instruction to life” inside local classrooms and help engage the students by providing hands-on learning with digital equipment.

“We’re thrilled to be able to do this,” said WHRO CEO and President Bert Schmidt. ”WHRO is owned by a collaboration of 21 school divisions, including Northampton, so whenever we can provide services or provide additional resources to the divisions, it really goes to the core of what WHRO is all about.”
