Curate is back with more local and national artists! Join us Friday, October 21, at 8:30 p.m. on WHRO TV 15 for the premiere of the new season.

The Curate series explores the thriving art scene in our own backyard and across America. Each week, the program features a Hampton Roads artist, along with artists from across the country, who work in a variety of mediums from painting to sculpture and photography to the spoken word. Each episode is arranged around a central theme and offers a compelling look at artists and their creations.

About Episode 1

Featured Artists:

Kristen Skees - Photographer/Cozy Maker
Kristen knits human cozies (think tea cozy but human sized and shaped), specifically for her photography subjects, then poses them in fun and whimsical ways. Her photographs take the viewer by pleasant surprise as she combines delight, vibrance and a bit of farce to show the amusing way she looks at the world.

Not for the Weak Records
Accountant by day, punk rocker by night, Jordan Greenough shows you don't have to leave the joys of youth behind, just because you've grown up.

Location:

The Muscarelle Museum on the campus of William and Mary is getting set for a major renovation that will triple the amount of gallery space. David Brashear, the museum's director, provides details for an exciting new horizon for the Williamsburg museum.
