Our “Writer's Block” events brings together local artists who share a common bond—expressing themselves through writing. The events combine performances by local poets and slam poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, and authors with interludes of music performed by some of the region’s top musicians.

Each event features approximately 20 performers and one musical guest. Performances cover a variety of topics from the environment and war to love and race relations. Works range from somber and thought-provoking to lighthearted and comical.
