Rock ’n’ roll may have started with Elvis, but pop music started with Buddy Holly and The Crickets. Buddy Holly: Rave On tells the story of Buddy Holly’s tragically short life and career. Told through exclusive interviews with those closest to him and young artists inspired by him, the documentary paints a picture of a man who changed the course of music. Featuring songs such as "Peggy Sue," "Maybe Baby," "Well Allright" and "Not Fade Away," the program captures one of the most dramatic tales in music 60 years after Holly’s game-changing, breakthrough hit, “That’ll Be the Day.” The documentary airs Monday, June 4 at 9:30 p.m. on WHRO.
