March 16, 2023

My first day on the job at WHRO was December 28, 1998. After years of enjoying WHRO's offerings, I was thrilled to join the organization! My job as Audience and Member Services Representative was to answer programming calls and general member questions, some very easy, some obscure, but all wonderful because I was talking to people who were just as passionate about WHRO as I was.

The most requested local program back then was a newly-produced WHRO series, Gone But Not Forgotten, which explores Hampton Roads as it was in the 1940s-1960s. It is a beautiful gem of a program and is filled with wonderful memories that I hope you will enjoy.
