This month we pay tribute to our Olympians by featuring athletes and their stories, including Joe Louis who held the championship from 1937 until 1949, the longest span of any heavyweight titleholder. For our Rock and Roll music lovers, the Classic Albums series has added a new season and includes the stories behind the making of the greatest albums from artists Lou Reed, Steely Dan, Don McLean, Frank Zappa, and Simply Red. And great news for our Call the Midwife fans, Season 9 is now available in Passport to give you a chance to catch up before the season 10 premiere in October. Call the Midwife was PBS’s number one drama last year and it is well worth your time.

Nature

Nature

"I've always been a fan of the science shows on WHRO TV, but if I had to pick one show that week-after-week, year-after-year, always stands out as an amazing representation of what Public Television truly excels at, that would have to be Nature. For nearly 40 years, Nature has shown curiosity about the boundless wonders of the world that we live in, and the fascinating, funny, and sometimes frightening creatures that share our world with us. If you haven’t ever seen the show, or haven't watched it in a while, I'd suggest you visit WHRO Passport and try Season 38, Episode 1 Octopus: Making Contact. I bet you'll learn more about cephalopods than you could ever imagine!"
