Exciting changes are coming for the WHRO Kids television channel. On Monday, January 16, WHRO will launch an updated 24/7 channel that broadcasts free children’s content along with new digital live streaming platforms. Now that these shows that you love will be available through our app, you can take your favorite PBS Kids characters with you wherever you go!

WHRO Kids will continue to broadcast your favorite PBS KIDS shows 24 hours a day with an updated program schedule and offer a live stream, making it easy for Eastern Virginian children to watch their favorite series during primetime and other after-school hours. Viewers will be able to watch the WHRO Kids-branded live stream through pbskids.org and on the PBS KIDS Video App, which is available on a variety of mobile devices, tablets and over-the-top platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One and Chromecast. The live stream complements on-demand clips and full episodes, which will continue to be available for free on the PBS KIDS Video App and streaming via pbskids.org.

“WHRO Kids has been an integral part of the community for years, delivering content and services that parents trust and that move the needle in early learning,” said Angie Callahan, Director of Children’s Services at WHRO Public Media. “We are excited to build on the work we do every day for Eastern Virginian families by adding these new platforms, ensuring that our proven educational content is accessible anytime and anywhere to all kids – especially those who need it the most.”

Viewers can tune into the 24/7 channel on WHRO Kids 15.3 (Cox Digital 108, Charter Digital 120, FIOS Channel 462) and also catch morning children’s programming on WHRO TV15.
