The inaugural edition is curated by soprano Angel Blue, who pays tribute to one of her greatest inspirations, Renée Fleming, with a stellar 2007 performance of “La Traviata.” In this cherished production, Fleming takes on the role of Violetta, the Parisian courtesan who sacrifices everything for love, alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani as Alfredo, the man who dreams of a future with her. Baritone Dwayne Croft rounds out the cast as Giorgio Germont, Alfredo’s stern father. Marco Armiliato leads the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus in Verdi’s timeless score.
