Curate 757 Season 9: Celebrating Local Artistry and Creativity

Our local digital series Curate 757 returns on January 1 for its ninth season! The series will stream on whro.org/curate, YouTube, and all social platforms, Season 9 promises to deliver a dynamic and inspiring lineup of talented artists from across our community showcasing incredible local talent while celebrating our region's vibrant artistic community.

Among those featured are acclaimed visual artist Rowena Finn, known for her evocative work that captures the energy and diversity of her surroundings, and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Aoife O’Donovan, whose soulful voice and masterful songwriting have captivated audiences worldwide.

Also joining this season is Chesapeake native Kwame Alexander, a New York Times bestselling author and poet, who brings his signature lyrical storytelling and commitment to uplifting young voices to the screen. And, in a beautiful fusion of sound and community, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Fellows Project showcases a group of talented musicians whose contributions enrich the cultural landscape.

Each episode of Curate 757 dives deep into the unique stories, inspirations, and creative journeys of these artists. Viewers will gain a window into the processes that drive their work and the impact they aspire to make through their craft.
