Pickin on WHRV brings you classic bluegrass this week with many of the defining artists of the genre with music from the Osborne Brothers, Flatt and Scruggs, and Red Allen. Also, we’ll hear tracks from many of the contemporary artists who are keeping alive the tradition with selections from Big Country Bluegrass, Special Consensus, Don Rigsby, Blue Highway, and Ronnie Bowman. Bowman cut his teeth with the Lonesome River Band and in 2002, released the prolific “Starting Over” cd which keyed in on a move to Nashville and a resurgent career as a solo artist.
