Pickin on WHRV this week brings you the band East Nash Grass. They are in performance next weekend at Town Point Park as a part of NashFest757. Also, new music from Dan Tyminski and his latest release captured live from the Ryman Auditorium. And, a track from the King of New England Bluegrass, the great Joe Val. Val blazed the trail for a thriving Boston folk music scene that included the Lilly Brothers and Joan Baez. Val died in1985 leaving behind a legacy of introducing classic Bluegrass Music to the region. Tune in for both progressive and classic bluegrass on the best of Pickin. Friday at 11 on WHRV.
