Next, the celebrated Emerson String Quartet brings us an interpretation of Edvard Grieg’s String Quartet No. 1, his only complete mature quartet and one of the most original of the late 19th century.

Listeners can then immerse themselves in the emotional depth and grandeur of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Donald Runnicles. The program also features Paul Dukas’ Fanfare and Poeme Danse “La Peri”, a vivid and colorful piece that will add a touch of French elegance and flair to the lineup.

Rounding out the evening, Van Cliburn gold medalist Yunchan Lim takes center stage with a performance of Chopin’s Etudes, Opus 24. His dazzling technique breathes new life into these beloved works, showcasing why he’s one of the most exciting young pianists of our time.
