Join us this Saturday evening at 8:00 on WHRO-FM 90.3 for This Just In, hosted by Raymond Jones, and experience three hours of the latest classical releases. This week's program promises an eclectic mix of captivating pieces and exceptional performances.

We are thrilled to feature two remarkable works conducted by JoAnn Falletta. First, enjoy the "Ode" for orchestra by Lukas Foss, performed by the Buffalo Philharmonic. And following this, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic teams up with renowned percussionist Colin Currie for Danny Elfman’s Percussion Concerto, under Falletta's direction.

Our program also includes a Brazilian double-header. Dive into the rich musical landscape of Brazil with Oscar Lorenzo Fernández’s Symphony No. 1. This symphony reflects the vibrant and diverse cultural heritage of Brazil. Next, enjoy the Guitar Concerto by Francisco Mignone, a piece that combines lyrical beauty with rhythmic vitality, performed with passion and precision.

Pianist Rochelle Sennet presents "Windows to Eternity’s Threshold" by James Lee III. This contemporary work offers a deep and reflective listening experience. Additionally, we feature "The Silk Road" suite by Norwegian composer Gisle Kverndokk. This suite, inspired by the ancient trade routes, weaves together musical influences from different cultures, creating a rich tapestry of sound.

Tune in to WHRO-FM 90.3 or stream online for an evening of extraordinary music. Don’t miss it!
