The Acoustic Highway celebrates the official arrival of summer with music from Dave Mallet, Garnett Rogers, David Francey, and from local artists- Dahna Rowe, Mike Aiken, Dustin Furlow, and Tret Fure. We’ll also hear from The Flatlanders- Butch Hancock, Joe Eley, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore. They originally formed in 1972, but their solo careers lead them away from recording together for another 30 years. In 2002, they released “Now Again” with the track “South Wind of Summer” on the album. It’s going to be a scorcher of a weekend- stay inside, crank up the ac, and welcome the first Sunday of Summer, on the Highway. Sunday night at 9 on WHRV.
