Season 8 of Curate kicks off Friday, May 10 at 8:30 p.m. on WHRO TV 15. The award-winning series features the best art in Hampton Roads along with in-depth and deeply personal profiles of the artists who create it.
Season 8 features a vast range of artists, including a Newport News native who is one of the best ever to play his instrument; an opera singer who has gone from the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City; a Virginia Beach photographer who focuses on our environment; a country music singer from Norfolk, whose infectious songs are finding their way to Nashville and beyond; a sculptor from Virginia Beach, whose detailed depictions of athletes and dancers is stunning; and an artist from Williamsburg, whose reflections on who we are, is a meditation on life itself. These are just a handful of our talented artists for season 8.
