The WHRO Education team is hiring! We're looking for an Instructional Designer.

The Instructional Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and developing interactive digital applications and technologies for online courses and other e-Learning projects developed by WHRO. The person in this position will convert text-based content into interactive and engaging online content based on organizational guidelines and create graphically appealing materials that complement course template color schemes.

WHRO Public Media provides educational services throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and WHRO is the only public broadcasting station in the United States that is owned by a collaboration of 21 local public school districts—education is at the heart of all we do.

As part of our mission to help school districts, our educators develop online courses available to all Virginia schools covering core curriculum subjects, all correlated to Virginia's standards of learning. Every course includes rich media infused, purpose built educational content, hundreds of digital learning objects, and a complete range of instructional and assessment modules, all of which can be customized for use with popular learning management systems.
