Paul Thorn’s new album “Never Too Late to Call” is a family album…his family. His wife, daughter, sister and father all figure into the songs, most delivered with a more acoustic approach than on previous albums…more family friendly you might say.

This is Thorn’s tenth album but his first of new songs in seven years. He’s always been known for his sharp wit and easy rapport with his live audiences and on this album he shows a more personal and heartfelt side of himself.

Thorn was a professional boxer before he began to put his punches into his songwriting back in the late 90’s. In one of his new songs his wife joins him for the first time. Thorn says he heard her harmonizing while he was writing the song and liked the way it sounded. The song they sing is instantly relatable to any long-married couple.

The title to the album is something his sister always said to him when he would call late. She died of cancer last year and Thorn says he will always remember her for the feeling of comfort and security those five words brought to him.
