Democratic incumbent Rep. Bobby Scott faces Republican challenger John Collick in defence of his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. The two spoke on WHRV's HearSay with Cathy Lewis.

Scott discussed what he is working on as Chairman of the Education and Labor Committee -- plans for re-opening schools and providing relief to the workforce. He brought up legislation he has sponsored (HEROES Act) to respond to COVID-19, job retraining, safety standards for workers during the pandemic.

Collick talked about how he thinks his experience in the intelligence community would help him in Congress. He also discussed what he would do to help small businesses respond to the pandemic, were he to hold his desired seat. Collick also shared his thoughts on the social unrest that's sprung up around the country and the region in response to George Floyd's killing.
