Volunteer Now!
From the Volunteer Coordinator
Hello. I’m happy that you’ve expressed interest in becoming a WHRO volunteer.
Most of our activities involve groups ranging in number from three to twenty; it’s rare that you would be asked to work alone. Not only do we train you in the tasks to be done, when you are with us for longer periods, we try to supply tasty food and drink to ward off those hunger pangs!
Volunteers help with administrative work for WHRO TV 15 and our two FM stations, WHRO 90.3 and WHRV 89.5, help with educational workshops, and assist at special events. Most activities occur weekdays, with only membership drives and a few events falling on nights or weekends.
Read on and you’ll find these activities described in greater detail. Regardless of your field of interest, I hope you’ll get in touch with me so that we can talk, meet, and begin to include you in the WHRO family of volunteers. I guarantee that you will enjoy seeing how your efforts help keep WHRO active, vital, and on the air!
