Knowledge is the best medicine. Our advice on House Calls is based on short conversation and no physical examination-not the way medicine should be practiced. We encourage you to read more about our topics by going to the library or on the Internet, then make an appointment and really talk with your doctor.

VASCULAR DISEASE
Did you know your body contains more than 60,000 miles of blood vessels - longer than the US Interstate Highway System? Like the roads we travel, the vascular system occasionally becomes clogged, stressed, or broken. The resulting diseases, such as abdominal aortic aneurisms, deep vein thrombosis, and peripheral artery disease, can have serious and deadly consequences. Today on House Calls, we talk about vascular health with Dr. Marc Glickman, President and Managing Director of Vascular and Transplants Associates, and Dr. William Hutchens, Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
