We'll bring you the latest news from Richmond including discussion on whether the state should expand Sunday liquor sales at ABC Stores.  We'll open our lines to the voices of Hampton Roads to hear what you have to say.  We'll also be joined in the studio by outgoing Old Dominion University President Roseann Runte.  Since Runte took the helm in 2001, ODU added seven doctoral programs, more than doubled its endowment to $187 million and opened the first building in a research park.

Expanding The Fleet
Should the number of the ships in the U.S. Navy be substantially higher?  That's what Virginia Senator Jim Webb is pushing.  The former Secretary of the Navy says it’s a must for the military to meet its global commitments in an uncertain world.  We'll talk about it today on HearSay.  And we'll also profile the Army ROTC program at Old Dominion University.  At a time when overall enrollment is down, the program is showing strength in numbers.

Black History Month
As Black History Month begins, guest host Barbara Hamm talks with director Marco Williams about his documentary BANISHED. The film tells the story of towns across the United States where white residents forced black families to leave their homes a hundred years ago. Williams explores the dark history of these communities and the families wrongly uprooted from their homes. We’ll also preview some events happening around Hampton Roads to highlight Black History Month.
