FROM THE HEADLINES
Segment A: Tuned Out?
According to Arbitron more than 50 million of us listen to Internet radio and that number is growing, as more people gain high-speed Internet access. But the plug may be pulled July 15th, a day some Web casters and bloggers have dubbed as "the day the music dies."  Higher fees recommended by the Copyright Royalty Board could raise the royalty rates causing Independent Web casters to go silent.  We'll talk about it on today's HearSay with John Simson, Executive Director of SoundExchange; Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora; and recording artist and jazz producer/host Jae Sinnett of WHRV-FM, 89.5.

Beyond Fear: America’s Role in an Uncertain World

Every day the latest headlines reflect a world filled with fear.  Terrorism, war, disaster, and disease are grim realities brought closer to home in our increasingly connected world, and they ultimately shape America's national security and foreign policies. But fear itself cannot drive our daily lives. "Beyond Fear: America's Role in an Uncertain World" explores new scenarios for US global leadership built on common action, trust, and hope.
