FROM THE HEADLINES: CROSS TALK
Some see it as embracing diversity, others say it's wrong to take away the religious symbol of one faith to appease people of other faiths.  The removal of an 18-inch brass cross at The College of William and Mary's historic Wren Chapel has sparked a controversy being debated across the nation.  We'll talk about it on today's HearSay.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR
Is there a science to falling in love?  On this Valentine's Day, we'll look at why researchers believe that love at first sight is not just a cliché.  A mix of natural chemicals and hormones may explain why opposites attract, mismatched couples' success and even how some couples survive the worst situations.  We'll also visit with author Christopher Phillips whose new book, "Socrates in Love: Philosophy for a Passionate Heart," poses the question, "What kind of love makes life worthwhile?" to parents, prisoners and Katrina refugees.  This is the third in Phillips' series of philosophical investigations researched by traveling the world and querying all kinds of people on life's deep questions.

HearSay Classic: LOSING MY RELIGION
Agnostics, atheists, freethinkers - what is life like for those that don't believe?  And why is discrimination against them on the rise?   We'll revisit this complex issue on today's HearSay with Penny Edgell, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Minnesota and Lauren Floyd, President of the Freethinkers and Atheists of Virginia.  Plus Cathy talks with author Marc Hauser about his new book examining human morality, "Moral Minds: How Nature Designed Our Universal Sense Of Right And Wrong."
