A Silver “Telly” was awarded in the Use of HD category, while Sound/Sound Design and Videography/Cinematography each won Bronze “Telly” awards.
Halloween Haunts is a series of vignettes highlighting stories of ghosts and ghostly legends throughout Virginia’s history. It was created and produced by Michelle Gabriele-Harrell, assisted by chief audio engineer Al Sykes and director of photography Daniel Harrell.
A Bronze “Telly” was awarded to WHRO FM and WHRV FM in 2007 for the series, which aired on both radio stations during the month of October, 2006. In addition, within the first two weeks of Halloween Haunts being offered on iTunes, the series was the third most popular download in the Halloween category.
