Norfolk:  WHRO announced it is partnering with The Virginian Pilot to present reports on its public radio station WHRV 89.5FM under the title Pilot on Politics, providing an in-depth look at of some of the issues critical to the Hampton Roads area that are being considered by lawmakers in Richmond.  Amy Biegelson will report from the Capitol most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:35 during Morning Edition on WHRV.  Morning Edition is hosted Monday through Friday by Sondra Woodward.

WHRV also airs General Assembly coverage with reports from Anne Marie Morgan of Virginia Public Radio, and Peninsula-specific coverage from Richard Mann at the Daily Press every morning during the local newscasts.

WHRO President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Widoff said, “We are happy to expand our General Assembly coverage with this partnership with an important content provider as part of our mission to serve an engaged citizenry.
