Virginia Opera: La Bohème: Rodolfo Remembers
Enjoy a fresh take on Puccini’s classic in this adaptation by Keturah Stickann and Bruce Stasyna, originally staged in a drive-in “movie-style” parking lot by San Diego Opera in 2020. La Bohème: Rodolfo Remembers offers the timeless story through the perspective of a now-successful writer and poet Rodolfo as he recalls the memories of his youth. Audiences will join him as he reflects on the winter in Paris with his starving artist friends where he unexpectedly connects with the love of his life – Mimì.

Artistic Director Adam Turner conducts members of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and a cast featuring tenor Matthew Vickers as Rodolfo and soprano Raquel González as Mimì.

Wed. Feb. 16, 9 p.m.
Virginia Symphony Orchestra: Dvořák’s “New World”
Steven Jarvi leads the VSO in this performance of Antonín Dvořák’s iconic Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”, plus his festive Carnival Overture.
