The state certified election results Wednesday. Here are final results from around Hampton Roads.

WHRO spoke to people across the region Friday about the election. 

Taylor initially built a lead among votes cast on Election Day. Luria overtook him early Wednesday morning. 

Some cities, like Portsmouth and Suffolk, counted all ballots last night.

Millions of Virginians have already cast their ballots, but lines are predicted to be long. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Check back for live updates from the WHRO Newsroom.

Some voters woke up in the wee hours of the morning to make it to the polls Nov. 3. Officials expect lines to stretch long into the evening.
